ITINERARY Day 1 – From Entebbe to Kampala along Lake Victoria On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda you will recognize our representative by DJ dress code for a welcome drink. Drive for an overnight stay at the Emin Pasha Hotel in Kampala, the place of heaven. BB
Located right near the city centre, the hotel is set in two acres of peaceful park-like tropical gardens. Big mature trees, flowering shrubs and scented vines abound. Admire the African and Swahili style of the private cottages and the ambience of the old age as you are received by the personnel in typical traditional costumes. Take your time and go for massage or enjoy a cold drink from the gardens’ bar.
Day 2 – The magic of Murchison Falls Relax from the verandah of the Emin Pasha as you enjoy a royal breakfast. The guide will give you a short briefing before leaving northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. This is the largest national park of Uganda with more than 3800 sq km. It hosts a variety of sceneries, from tropical forests, savannah plains covered with palms and, moreover, the wild beauty of river Nile which bisects the park from East to West. The first stop over of the day is the small rhinos reserve “Ziwa”, before arriving in Masindi town. Enjoy viewing the rhinos, which in future will be repopulated into the national park, where they had disappeared since the 1970s. The “top of the falls” of Murchison is one of the most romantic places in Africa. The mighty 50 metre wide Victoria Nile squeezes through a six metre rocky canyon dropping 43 metres downstream. You view this spectacular panorama. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge, Nile Safari Lodge, overlooking the river Nile. Full Board
After a cup of coffee, go for the exploration of the magnificent savannah up to the delta of river Nile into Lake Albert. The area is rich in animals, from the elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions and different species of antelopes. Enjoy some tea and breakfast in the wilderness. Return to the lodge for relax and lunch. In the afternoon we suggest the excursion by boat on river Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. This is an experience of nature, as you observe the water birds from the bank of the river, the hippos and huge number of crocodiles. The guide will help you to spot the different species and it is recommended a good binocular and a good camera. Dinner and overnight at the lodge, Nile Safari Lodge. Full Board
After your last Nile breakfast, your journey proceeds descending southwest along the Lake Albert and Rift Valley escarpment, which offer a lot of sceneries and viewpoints. You pass via Hoima the capital town of ancient Bunyoro kingdom and through sugarcane, tea, banana, coffee and cocoa plantations. Lunch en route. Arrive in Fort Portal, the capital town of the Tooro kingdom. This area is characterized by colored gardens, evergreen tea and banana plantations, picture perfect crater lakes like Lake Saka and idyllic streams. The Mountains of the Moon Hotel is an oasis of peace overlooking the Rwenzori. This will be your pit stop for the night after a long transfer, but full of emotions. Full Board.

Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Katara lodge **** Katara is one of the most charming and characteristic lodges in Uganda. Katara means “lamps” and you will be captivated by the atmosphere. Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth National Park After breakfast, have a very interesting walk down the Kyambura Gorge, beautiful scenery, where you will search for the chimpanzees and other monkeys. Go back for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon have an exciting excursion by boat from Mweya peninsula along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife, bird life and opportunities for good photographs. Dinner and overnight stay at Katara Lodge. Full Board.
Day 7 – Ishasha - Lake Bunyonyi After breakfast, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi in Southwest of Uganda. You will leave the Northern sector of Queen Elizabeth and head southwards, through the remote Ishasha Sector of the park, the natural migration corridor between Uganda and Congo. The concentration of game animals is high, especially the elephants, the antelope topi, buffalo. However, the area is known for the frequency of sighting the so called tree climbing lions, peacefully relaxing over the figs trees. Pic nic lunch will be arranged in the savannah. In the afternoon arrive in Lake Bunyonyi where you board the boat through the lake up to Habuharo Island at Heritage Lodge. Dinner and overnight. Full Board Located on the tranquil waters of Lake Bunyonyi, the lodge has well-spaced, self-contained tents and cottages, all furnished with comfortable beds located in wooded seclusion overlooking the lake.
Day 8 – The Virunga volcanoes in the mist
Day 9- Mountain gorilla safari Experience a rejuvenating morning in the rain tropical forest of Bwindi for a gorilla safari. This is a guided group activity which starts at 8am with each group comprising a maximum of 8 people. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of these gentle giants is surely the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. The park hosts other species of primates, including the endemic golden monkeys, an endangered species. Ensure you take the packed lunch and water with you in the bag and for this you might need the support of available porters. In the afternoon, after the activities, we suggest you transfer to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi. Enjoy the service and comfort of Kivu Serena Hotel, its private beach and view over the lake. Celebrate the encounter with the gorillas and have a special dinner. Full Board Day 10 – Lake Kivu – Nyungwe Forest After breakfast, today’s program is a journey through the country of the “thousand hills”, from North to South at Nyungwe National Park. The road is panoramic with all the tea and banana plantations, the coast along Lake Kivu, the children of Rwanda walking aside and typical mountain villages. Lunch during the transfer. Arrive by evening in the tropical forest of Nyungwe. With more than 1000 sq km this is one of the most intact ancient forests in Africa, a real natural lung where your senses will be fully activated. There is no better and peaceful place to be as Nyungwe Forest Lodge. The swimming pool and bar overlooking the forest is one of the amenities you cannot miss. Today’s activity is the encounter with the deep tropical forest and with our closest related great ape, the chimpanzee. This requires an early start by 6 in the morning. Follow the rangers along the forest trails and off track. There are 13 species of primates in Nyungwe: the chimpanzees (more than 1000 recorded), the Rwenzori colobus, L’Hoest monkey, the silver monkey, the owl faced monkey, the red tailed monkey, mona monkey, vervet monkey, olive baboon, grey cheeked mangabey. In the late morning you go back to the lodge for resting and for lunch. In the afternoon you are free to enjoy the beauty of the atmosphere and breathing the deed green of Nyungwe. Surely this day will give you for loong sweet dreams. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge. Full Board
Day 12 – Finally Lake Tanganyika

After breakfast, take your time and relax on the beach.
