On arrival at Nairobi International Airport our representative will transfer you to the hotel for overnight. Then the the trip starts the next day so there are visits to places like Lake Baringo, Kakamega Game reserve and more. Enjoy your tour.



Day 1
Nairobi

On arrival at Nairobi International Airport our representative will transfer you to the hotel for overnight in a bed and breakfast basis, Sentrim Boulevard. BB

Day 10 & 11
Lake Turkana

After breakfast, proceed further North to Lake Turkana the biggest desert lake in the world. You arrive at Eliye Springs Lodge, an eco-lodge which attracts tourists interested in understanding culture and nature in an ecological approach. The lodge is founf on the Western Coast of Lake Turkana, a place for comfort and relax as well as the best starting point for any activity of exploration of the surrounding Turkana region and villages. Optional activities like boat rides, wildlife watching, village walks are done at an extra cost.

Day 2
Nairobi – Kakamega Forest Reserve

After breakfast, drive westwards to Kisumu and Kakamega Forest Reserve. The forest is found about 400 km from Nairobi. With its 240 sq kilometers of extension, is the largest intact remaining protected tropical forest in Kenya. Lunch en route for the day. Dinner and overnight at Rondo Retreat, the perfect location inside the forest, a place for peace and relax in the real nature. Full Board

Day 3
Kakamega Forest Reserve

After breakfast, you will enjoy a walk along the trails of Kakamega Forest Reserve. Particularly, the forest is home to many primates, including black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, flying squirrels, blue monkeys and potto. Other wildlife include forest buck, duikers, dik dik. Kakamega is a birding paradise, home to over 300 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, Emerald Cuckoo and Black and White Casqued Hornbill. Beautiful Chameleons are often seen in the undergrowth. There are over 400 species of butterflies. At night the forest is a different world, the air filled with bats and ringing with the sounds of frogs, night birds and the booming call of the giant forest squirrel. Despite its easy accessibility, Kakamega is a quiet haven for nature lovers, the perfect place to relax for a few days.

Day 4
Kisumu - Lake Victoria

After breakfast, transfer to Kisumu in Mbita, on the shores of Lake Victoria. Western Kenya is one of Kenya's least known and visited regions. The area has a lot to offer visitors and is an undiscovered world of wonders. Arrive at Lake Victoria Safari Village; the village consists of attractive round traditional huts thatched with papyrus reeds, overlooking the lake. It is a comfortable place with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The place is perfect to sniff the breeze. Optional activities (on request): boat trip on Lake Victoria, sport fishing, bird watching

Day 5
Lake Baringo

After breakfast, your journey proceeds north to Lake Baringo, the most Northerly of Kenya's small Rift Valley lakes, creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forest. Hippos, crocodiles and monitor lizards, numerous birds are effortlessly seen from the shore. This is also the traditional home of the Njemps tribe, a unique people who are the only pastoral, cattle herding tribe who is also fishing, among other pastoral tribes such as the Maasai, where eating fish is a taboo. At an extra cost you can take the trekking or take a boat ride to Ol Kokwe Island, a stark rocky island that is home to Njemps villages. Lunch en route

Day 6
Lake Baringo

After breakfast, your journey proceeds north to Lake Baringo, the most Northerly of Kenya's small Rift Valley lakes, creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forest. Day 7
Mararal Game Reserve

Leave for the small town of Maralal. Maralal is the unofficial capital of the Samburu people. Near Mararal is found the Mararal Game Reserve, set amidst the Ol Donyo Lenkiyo mountains, one the secrets of Kenya, with fantastic landscapes and presence of wildlife. In Maralal you have the chance to see zebras, a lot of buffalos and elephants.

Overnight at: All meals and overnight at Mararal Safari Lodge, located in the reserve. Full Board

Day 8
Mararal – Turkana

After breakfast drive to Desert Rose with picnic lunches, a unique eco friendly lodge located at the foot of a Samburu holy mountain, Oldonyo Nyiru, having a unique opportunity of being part of the most important celebrations of the community which traditionally take place at the top of the mountain. Desert Rose guests are always invited to local celebrations, from circumcisions to colourful wedding parties, granting the guests a rare insight into Samburu life and their distinctive sense of style. nNote: At an extra cost it is possible organize aerial safari on top of Lake Turkana.

Day 9
Turkana

After breakfast, the day is free to explore the Turkana region surrounding the lodge. The following activities are included: guided walks, bird watching, camel walks, bush meals, sundowners or cultural visits to Turkana and Samburu communities.

Day 9
Turkana

After breakfast, the day is free to explore the Turkana region surrounding the lodge. The following activities are included: guided walks, bird watching, camel walks, bush meals, sundowners or cultural visits to Turkana and Samburu communities.

Day 12
Turkana - Nairobi

After breakfast, proceed further North to Lake Turkana the biggest desert lake in the world. The lodge is founf on the Western Coast of Lake Turkana, a place for comfort and relax as well as the best starting point for any activity of exploration of the surrounding Turkana region and villages. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip of Lodwar your flight to Nairobi International Airport, where you can connect with your international flight. BBnNote: It is possible with a supplement and an extra night to go back to Nairobi by car via Mararal.nn
